It's official! After 16 years as a pro, 10 world championships in 6 different weight divisions and a whole hell of a lot of money, Oscar De La Hoya has officially retired from the sport of boxing. The Golden Boy ends his career after 45 total fights with a record of 39 wins (30 KOs) and just 6 losses. De La Hoya made the announcement just moments ago during a press conference held at the Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE, across from STAPLES Center.
